    Recovery disc problem

I have XP media Center, Office 2007. At first I could download Office type files. Now I can't. I have a Compaq Presario that I got used. The seller gave me the recovery disc but when I try to "recover" I get a message; Can't find file D:\i386\WINNTUPG\NETUPGRD.DLL. Where can I get this file and could it be corrupted on my hard drive?

What do you mean download... like off the internet? So for example you can't download a doc (word) file? What happens when you try?

You may want to re-install office 2007.

Recovery disks for compaq/HP run about 30 bucks. Since I can't explain pirating them that is the route I suggest! But def, reinstalling your OS is a last resort always. If you have the discs re-install M$ Office. But before doing that even it could be much simpler, once you answer StaticFX's response we will know more about the issue.

But remember re-installin an OS is a last resort, re-installing M$ is still a long shot, wait a couple days and see if we can't help.
