I have looked at the other discussions about the Rheem II and have an additional problem.

The Heater (only heater I don't have AC) tends to be a little troublesome at times. I tested the vacuum for the blower relay as suggested in another forum. I hear clicks both ways.

This is what I have to do sometimes to get it to come on. Like a old coke machine I have to give it a good wallup on the side of the unit then I hear a click and it comes on.

Why?

Sometimes it will come on like it is supposed to without giving it a smack. All lights Power On and Flame are lighting up like they are supposed to after I smack it. Before I smack it I get the Power and the On light flashes 4 times over and over.

It says that 4 blinks followed by a 2 sec pause indicates that the pressure switch is closed. I think when I smack it it opens up and then turns on. Believe that I tested it by removing the hose and blowing and sucking on it and got clicks both ways.
