    Continuous bulb blowing
    Hello- We have several outside pole lights (photocell),the bulbs keep blowing out. :( the halide bulbs are matched correctly with the ballasts... any suggestions?

    Good, the first thing I would have you check is proper lamp and ballast match, which you confirmed.

    I will ladd, be sure the ANSI number matches, not just the proper wattage lamp to the same wattage ballast. There are different ANSI numbers for same wattages, and all must match,


    Confirm the supply voltage is at the fixture.
    Confimr the proper supply voltage tap is connect at the ballast.
    Confirm the ballast is wired properly. I find different wiring schemes, where the Capacitor sometimes gets wired wrong on the Common.

    If all of this is OK, then you must need new ballasts.

    Why all went at once indicates something may be wrong.

    I'll add:
    Loose wires. The photocell might be tying to ignite the lamps repeatedly.
