Changing Light Bulbs that are in High Ceilings
Is there a secret to changing lightbulbs in chandeliers that are in chandeliers in high ceilings? Those long poles do not work. Does anyone have a suggestion besides a tall ladder? Thanks!

I ended up having my chandelier in a cathedral ceiling put on a pulley so I could raise and lower it to clean and change the lightbulbs.

    How do you clean it?

A lot depends on how high the ceiling is and what is below it. We get a lot of calls to access 18' to 22' ceilings and have found one of the best ways is to use a Little Giant Skyscraper ladder.

Ours will range from about 12' tall to 21' tall allowing for about a 24' reach.

These ladders are big, heavy, and expensive about 800.00 – 900.00 and generally takes two men to move them around and set them up. Consequently the service calls are a set at a 350.00 minimum but lower than the cost of setting up scaffolding or an aerial lift.

No problem just seems like a common question even today. This kind of issue lead to people using all kinds of questionable means to solve their problem leading to accidents and injury. Just trying to offer safe solutions to a common problem.
