I just installed 3 recepticals and light switches in my bedroom.
I installed my one, main bedroom single light switch, but it didn't work so then I successfully installed the switch in my bedroom closet - it worked fine. Then went back to work on the bedroom switch even trying out the old switch-> no juice!
What could the problem be? What do I need to do?
I'd greatly appreciate some help here.

Turn power off, remove switch and connect 2 wires, turn power on, if light goes on, switch IS bad. If not, switch may not be the problem.

Tried your suggestion, but the light didn't come on and the hall lights won't come on.
Any more suggestions?

Now my closet light won't work or my mothers bedroom lights.
Does this sound like it could be a breaker that needs replacing? Would that be what an electrician would do next? My brothers friend told me that.

Are you insalling new from stracth? Or added anither outlet or two. FInd the actual feed for that circuit. Your light switch can be supplied from the outlet. There are many varibles here and many ways to wire it up or have split duplexs. What was the exact sistuation on the get go and what did you do first and last?

As I stated in my 1st post, this is what I did:
I installed 3 recepticals in my bedroom.
Then I tried to install my single bedroom light switch, but it didn't work so I installed the switch in my bedroom closet and it worked fine. Then went back to work on the single bedroom switch and even tried the old switch but no juice! Now, the light switches in the hallway and Mom's room don't work.

While your explanation makes all the sense to you, it is too vague and general for anyone to grasp what has been done, and how to help you.

Did you just replace 3 receptacles and 1 switch?

Or run all new cable and wire the devices?

Are you using a voltage tester to determine there is "no juice". Or just assuming "no juice" because lights are not working?

You need to help us to help you with much more descriptive words as to what you have, what you did etc.

Assuming you wired the new receptacles identical to the old ones, did you check to see if any of the new receptacles work? Perhaps one of them is missing a breakaway tab and not passing the power supply and/or neutral circuit on to the next device.

A wire may have come loose inside 1 of the boxes you worked on, remove the 3 from wall with wires still connected, and look for power.
May need to turn power off to expose contacts, then back on.

This is existing house wiring. 3 receptacles were replaced and still get power. At first my ceiling light in my closet worked and the bedroom ceiling light didn't (after replacing - even tested with the old switch and still no power). However, since installing new switches neither switch (bedroom & closet) is getting any power and the hall lights & Moms ceiling and bathroom light switches aren't working.
All I did was buy & install new white switches & recptacles to get rid of the old beige looking ones.
So since all the receptacles work and the light switches do not, does that indicate a breaker needs replacing which supplies power for all those light switches that do not work?
What would be the next step?

I think a wire may have come loose in the switch box, look for power in there, then connect. Good Luck
