I am twenty years old and I have never met my father. A couple years ago I was not happy my mother was going through a mid life crisis and broke up with her fiancé that she had been with for eight years, she started dating two men, one was married, the other was a teacher at my high school, so was she. So I wrote this less than happy letter to my father and after a couple months without a response I just figured he didn't care. About six months later I received a letter apologizing about the time he was going through a divorce, and such. That was two years ago, since then we have talked to each other on the phone and exchanged letters. Also sense then my mother has gotten engaged to a wonderful guy amazing we are really good friends. My problem is I haven't told my mom or my stepdad, I don't want to hurt them and I know it will kill my mother. I just am not sure I want a relationship with my father ,I think , but I don't want to tell my mother. I just am not sure what to do :eek:

So don't tell her you are talking to him. Talk and just let it go from there.
