    Sewer pipe gases!
My name is terri22, yes I am new at this, but am in need of a health question do to sewer pipe gases in my office at work. My office was a bathroom at one time, and the company never caped off the sewer line, so there has been bad gases and bad, bad smell coming from this pipe. Along with the former manager at this company we have developed many common health problems, many health problems, and I am concerned it could have been from this. We just had it fixed and the man said this was a health danger and we should have never been in this for so long. I have been there for 3 years now and the other lady 8 years. Can someone please tell me or give me some answers on this. Ty terri22

I think if I were you I would go to a lung Dr. and have some test run to see how your breathing compares to other people in you age range.

You missundersdtood what I was trying to tell you. I was not asking anything about your age. You ask if you should be concerned and since I didn't know for sure if you should be concerned so I was trying to tell you the way to find out was to go to a person that could measure any damage that has been done to you in those years that you were exposed to the sewer gas. And that is one way that they measure lung damage, they measure you lung capacity with other people of your gender and also your age range. So I am sorry if I said something that you didn't like. I apologize

Yes, you certainly should be concerned about open sewer pipe for long period. Yes, open sewer is a health hazard.
