    Replacement thermostat wiring
I am replacing a Fedders old thermostat with terminal labels:
    Y1
    G
    R
    Y2
    W1
The Hunter replacement wants G, Y, W, RC, and RH. What is the correct wiring match?
It is 26 degrees outside and the old thermostat is broke. There are lots of things I can fix, HVAC just isn't one of them. Thanks so much for any insight

What model is it? You should have a manual that came with it.
Maybe this will help figure it out:

the hunter is a 4410. Lower end model. The manual doesn't have the right info in it to identify what is what. I just like to know what I am getting into before randomly hooking things up. It is too cold out right now to mess around and screw it up. Thanks

Looks like your old t-stat was 2-stage cool, 1-stage heat, and your new one is 1-stage cool, 2-stage heat. You may need to check the control wiring connections at the indoor/outdoor units to see which wires are actually being used and for what.

Sorry. It is 44110, not 4410. I was also thinking 2 stage cooling and 1 stage heat. Makes sense being in KS and all. What kills me is that it says on the package for 5 wire systems. Maybe they should clarify. So you think this thermostat won't work?
