    Painting Expertise Needed
As part of a kitchen remodel, I am putting new cabinets in that will be painted. Plan is to use Oil-based enamal for all the old-world benefits. After priming the maple frames, the hardware store mistakenly gave me latex-based enamal paint. The cabinet doors are being professionally sprayed with oil-based so I would like to stay the course with the same paint on both frame and doors. Do I need to wait any period for the latex based paint to fully cure before covering with the oil-based? Any additional thoughts from those that know way more than me when it comes to painting.
    Thanks.

    Petehoovey,

You shouldn't have a problem with covering latex paint with oil based pain. I would just wait until you are sure the latex is comletely dry before proceeding.

It's when latex is applied on top of oil based paint the you have problems.
