I gave birth almost 9 weeks ago, and I still haven't had my period. But yesterday I started getting really dark brown discharge, it looks to dark to be old blood. And I haven't had a period to have old blood anyway. And its not spotting, there's a lot. I have had unprotected sex though, would that have anything to do with it?

My baby son is 7 weeks old and I'm still bleeding.
I would,nt worry too much about it as its proberly your period if your really worried contact your health visitor or Dr as I'm sure they will be able to tell you if they think anythings wrong.
I don't think unprotected sex would cause it.
By unprotected I'm assuming you mean no condom and that you are using some other form of birth control as it is still possible to get pregnant even if you have,nt had a period.
