Didn't label wires when replacing thermostat
    HELP!

I replaced my old thermostat with a new digital HOneywell one, but I did not label the wires, I thought I had done everything correctly in reconnecting them, but now I have no heat. The fan runs, but no heat is coming out - as if the unit THINKS it is heating, but the air coming out is cold.
I am pretty sure that I wired somehitng wrong - how can I fix it?

Try supplying more info to start with.
Old thermostat brand and exact model number
New thermostst brand and exact model number.

Colors of wires used might also help.

    new one - honeywell

Wires - brown (which was attached to x - I did write that down)
    grey (attached to b)
    red
    green
    yellow
    white(ish)

the color coded oones are in the right places y to tellow, g to green, r to red. The white(ish) is attached to aux and the brown to e and the grey to b

Also - the instructions in the manual say"if the old thermostat had W1, W2, and Ywires, contact a heating contractor for help -

Oops. I usually read all instructions - would have helped this time -

I think the brown should be hooked to a common terminal. Install a jumper wire between aux. and e. Is there an x or c terminal on the new stat?

You didn't shut the power off to the system before replacing the t-stat, eh? Still kind of strange that the blower was running.

Try Brown goes to Common (C) and White is jumped to E and Aux. Try at your own risk.

If not follow all the wires to the indoor air handler and post what color wires goes to what terminal on the air handler.

Your instructructions after you find out exactly what color wire goes to what terminal.
