    2 month long excessive period?
    Hi I'm Aly Kaee
My friend doesn't have an account or feel comfortable asking someone this
But I'm worried about her so I'm asking the question for her

My friend is having a problem with her period
Not a little problem but a big one

She has started her first period and she has been on it for 2 month straight
    -its been non stop since
    -no swelling
    -no bumps redness or ichyness
    -started January of this year
-normal period usually a week long
-stopped for two days last weekend then started again
-thurs the 4 of December she went to the doctor
-doc said if its not gone by the time she is 15 then she should see the doctors again
-normal period no bloating but she used to get cramps that feel like her stomach is knoting
    -her flow is usually light/medium
-after a period 28 days later when she was supossed to start again she missed it then 2 weeks later after those 28 days she started this exsissive period

    Does anyone know what's wrong?

Homones regulate menstrual periods. It could be that your friend has not developed a regular hormone cycle yet. Did the doctor mention the pill as an option? Do her parents know that she is concerned? Has she been checked for anemia due to constant blood loss? She is likely fine in spite of the bleeding, but it's good to check.

One way to slow down a flow is to lie down. Is your friend really active?

Hmm she didn't mention that the doctor said anything about pills only that "if the bleeding continues when she turns 15 (which is in july) then she should see the doctor again".
Her parents think that everything is fine because of what the doctor said but the doc never mentioned if it could lead to any serious issues or not
I don't think she has been checked but ill ask her
My friend and I have gym class together
But other then that she will work out once evey three or four weeks I think

Has she talked to her mom about the doctor telling her it was okay to bleed constantly for another seven months?

Yes, her mom was with her when she went

And her mom thinks its OK because the doctor didn't say if anything serious or not could occur if they wait

Well I've been on mine for 4 months straight but I haven't seen a doctor about it yet and it was gone for 7 months before I got the non stop one. Mine gets heavier when it's supposed to be there, but otherwise it's light. I am also 15. I've heard that caffeine and being underweight can influence it too, so I don't think it's anything to worry about much.
