Goodman runs 10 minutes and shuts off
I had a goodman furnace put in about 3 years ago.The furnace lights for 10 minutes then flames go out but inducer motor still runs on and off then 5 minutes later it works again for 10 minutes. I am in a wheelchair so I can't work on it myself so I hired a company. They charged $85 to walk in the door. They changed the pressure switch for $75 labor the parts were under warranty. After they left I find it's doing the same thing. They come out the next day and replace inducer motor for $110 labor. I get up this morning and it's 62 degrees in the house but the thermostat is set to 68. I turn the furnace off and on and again runs for 10 minutes and shuts off just like to start with. Now they want more money to come out again. I did not replace the thermostat but it is digital. Am I getting screwed by this company? And what else could it be?

First off if they did not fix the problem it is there problem. Sounds like you are dealing with a parts replacer not a company that really know how to fix it. Call someone else. Then when it is fixed tell the other company you want your money back. If not call the BBB and the local news media and have them do a story about a disabled person being taken advantage of. That will wake that bad company up.

It could be a number of things. I would call that company back and give them one more chance to get it fixed and demand a refund for the labor that you have already paid. Request another tech. Threaten them if you have to.

I told Logan Services that they should stand behind their work but they insisted that I had to pay labor on every visit. So I said what if it doesn't work after the next thing they replaced and she said they would charge me labor again. And said the other two parts were obviously bad or they would not have replaced them under warranty. There was no reasoning with them

$75.00 labor to replace a pressure switch... they're makin' down payments on that timeshare in HELL!

Have you tried to talk to the owner? Maybe the best thing for you to do is to call another company, get it fixed, have the company give you proof as to what the problem was and then attempt to get you're money back from the original company. I think if you call that company and threaten to turn them in to the BBB they will refund the money.

We are 78.50 for the first hour and 65.50 every hour after that, so I could see charging that to replace a pressure switch, however, the fact that didn't take care of the problem is the bad part.

My guess is that either you have a circuit board problem or something is obstructing the exaust pipe.

If you continue with them, they will eventually solve the problem... by process of elimination...

You might go to the BBB website to see if they have a history of dissatisfied customers. If their reputation is trashed already, you may not get far negotiating with them.
