Maytag side by side fridge running too cold.
9-year-old Maytag side by side refrigerator is intermittently running too cold on both the freezer side (>-10 degrees) and refrigerator side (>30 degrees). It's freezing my fresh veggies in the bottom drawers and the ice cream in the freezer is hard as a rock. I have the settings as "warm" (low) as they go. The damper door is closing properly. The compressor does shut off. I'm thinking it has something to do with the lower limit control on the thermostat, but I need help locating that control. Since the compressor seems to be running fine. Do you think the thermostat is my problem?

It is probably the main operating thermostat control.

I have the same problem on my Kenmore. Just posted similar thread and now find it is made by Maytag. After we bought it there was a new thermostat or new location for the thermostat but we cannot find the information. I find cleaning the coils below the fridge helps a lot but still the thermostat keeps the unit too cold.
