    Registering and Licensing
Lol as most of you know, I just got my dog here two weeks ago come tomorrow. Since it is so late in the year we are waiting until next month to get his tags from the town. It's going to cost us 30 dollars since our boy is not fixed.
Searching around in the area I live in "kings county" I notced there is also licensing for dogs. Licensing is 60 dollars for an unfixed dog.

By-laws require only registering your dog with the town *he gets a numbered tag from this* what I was wondering was..

What is the difference in registering and licensing?

In my area they are one and the same - licensing is the legal term and that's the title on the top of the paper you get - Dog License.

I think the "register" thing is slang.

But its got price differences for the same area though tis why I thought it might mean something else. It also asks more questions than the register person does at town hall..
