    Toothache after root canal
    Hello:
I recently had a root canal procedure (on #19 about 5 days ago) and have been antibodics for about 10 days. The sensitivity to cold that I was feeling was gone immediately. However, today I began feeling a dull, throbbing pain in the tooth NEXT to the tooth that had the root canal procedure. The pain tends to get more intense with physical activity, and the tooth is sensitive to pressure.

Is this pain related to the root canal procedure, or a sign that there may be something wrong with the other tooth?

    Thanks!

Sometimes a large infection can spread to adjacent teeth through the tips of the roots, or maybe you have a big cavity on that tooth too.. go back to the dentist

Have your tooth checked out by your dentist. If you have a cold or sinus infection you can get that kind of throbbing on physical activity, especially running, going up and down stairs, bending over to pick something off the floor. It's still best to have the dentist make sure it's not another abscess.

Its amazing how many of you have the same story as I do.

My root canal is killing me three days later . I just went on antibiotics also and am hoping it will help.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
