House Posted for Sheriff Sale in PA
My house was posted for sheriff sale in January. Can someone just come in and throw me and my children out of the house we are renting? I receive disiability and so do 2 of my children. I have never been in this position before and I don't know what to do or even what rights I have under Pennsylvania Law. Please help me!

If you are renting the house and the house has delinquent taxes or is/has been in foreclosure, yes someone can buy the house and evict you and your children if they wish to do this. You can, however, try and negotiate a new lease from them and continue renting if they so wish.

Or try and buy the house yourself.

But yes, after the sale, you will be given a notice to move by the new owner unlesss they wish to rent to you. The notice can be as soon as three days, if you don't move they serve you papers for a eviction.

Most likely I would be moving at this point and time

Yes someone can come in and throw you out, but only if you refuse to leave. After the sale, the new owner will give you time to vacate. You can stretch this out as the courts are sympathetic to situations like yours. But eventually you will need to leave or be thrown out.
