    Embarrsed to go to the docs
    I am embarresed to go to the doc and don't know what to do I went to the er for being lightheaded and having stomach pain and being late well they told me I have crevitits from my iud and said I should have it removed well I am starting to spot today and I am supposed to get my iud removed in the moring and I have a feeling that I will be bleeding heavy by then and I don't want to go and feel stupid what ifs they can't remove tommarow and I don't want to look stupid telling them I am on my period

    I think that you should phone them and discuss it. They will most likely tell you to come in or wait. Calling the question in can't hurt, but taking the matter into your own hands and making the decision to wait until the next time they can get you in could be bad. It's always possible that they need to take that out right away so I would call and let them advise you on the best way to handle this. It's not anything they haven't experienced before... they are in the business.

    OK thank you guys I called and they said they want me to be on my cycle so I am glad I called and didn't wait I just had one more ? Does any one know what crevitis is I know it I not and std because it is only me and my husband having intercousrse but she said it is an infection she said something about germs crawl up the string of the iud

    Being on your period will help it be easier sometimes to remove the IUD... cervicitis is not uncommon, and while it is often due to a STD that is not the only way for the cervix to be effected. They will rule out the possibility of an undetected STD however... many people have one without even knowing it. What they do to treat it will depend on the cause... may just be some antibiotics.
