    Hormones replacement
Hi, about 6 yrs ago, I had a hysterectomy, the doctor started me on hrt pills, but it got too expensive, so I stop taking it. So is there any vitamins or anything over the counter that can help me? I saw at walmart they had estrogen, but not sure how safe it is. I've been struggling trying to lose weight& having sleep issues among other things, could it be because of my hormones? I appreciate any advice and response. Thank you. Oh my age is 44. GOD BLESS:

I'm assuming your ovaries were removed as well? Ask your doctor about the use of soy and black cohosh... just two of the more popular remedies that work for some women. There are some instances were they should not be used... (I just had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and can't use any hormones, which these would fall into), so do your homework on them and check with your doctor about these and ask for other suggestions in place of the HRT.
Just as a side... regular, daily exercise can help tremendously for many women and often HRT or other such remedies become unnecessary.
