    Military Court house Wedding Questions
I joined the army as a medic and me and my fiancé are having legal problems with the military. So we pushed up the wedding to December 17th then I leave for basic a month later. He proposed to me before I joined and we were naïve. The problems we have is it's too complex to marry if I get stationed overseas (and I have no choice where I'm based). The military doesn't recognize your boyfriend as family. And everything is quite easiier legally and requesting leave wise. Both of us are 21 and have had our relationship take (6+ months) long distance before. We work well together. I know the military marriage will *cough* fuunnn :(

So... court house wedding in Maine... fun... what's going to happen?

I don't believe I understand your question here. What is going to happen with what? Can you be more specific please?

What will happen if me and my fiancé schedule a court house wedding. Will the judge say "you may know throw a pie in the bride's face." Is there some odd thing I should know? I'm used to church weddings

The judge will just go through a short ceremony, say all of the things he needs to say according to law, (do you take this man... do you take this woman) you will exchange your rings, and then he will pronounce you man and wife! You may now kiss the bride, and I now introduce Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It's pretty cut and dried, by the book, so to say.
