    Pub files
    I received an e-mail with two pub files attached. I can no open them. I am using windows xp and my adobe will not open them. I do not want to purchase anything to open just these two files . Any help would be great.

    There is no free viewer for Microsoft Publisher files. You need the application to view them.

    As noted these are MS Publisher files. Ask the sender to convert to PDF.

    Ask the sender to use the 'Save As' function in Publisher where they can choose to save it as a Word document.

    Converting a .pub file to Word has a better chance of screwing up the formatting and the images.

    I apologize, You did give a different answer. However, converting to Word is not a good option. Formatting will be lost and the flow of the document could become incoherent.
