Expungement/ Sealed and or Pardoned or all?
Lets keep in mind, I know I made these mistakes and an not looking to hear I am a bad person that needs to be punished all my life for them.
In the past I have been convicted of three crimes. These crimes happened 17years ago between the ages of seventeen and twenty. Since then I have not been cited for anything. My record has been clean for seventeen years. My convictions consist of those listed below.
My first conviction (age 17)consisted of theft of a pair of roller skates in 1988 at the age of seventeen in Collin County. What happened was a boy I new sold myself his roller skates. He then went home and his parents asked him where his roller skates were. The boy then proceeded to tell them that I had stolen his roller skates. So then his parents pressed charges on me. I got time served with no restitution.
The second conviction (age 18)consisted of burglary of a vehicle in 1988 at the age of seventeen in Kaufman County. I took five gallons of gas from a school bus barn. I received five years deferred adjudication, for this encounter my restitution was paid in full and completed.
Finally, my third conviction (age 20)consisted of burglary of a building in 1991 at the age of twenty in Dallas County. This conviction was a felony. I went to stay with my brother and his wife for the weekend. The friends whom lived with me at the time had told me they were going to break into a building and steal some music equipment. I later learned they did break into the building. So when my brother took me back to my apartment, my apartment door had a pad lock on it with a note attached to go and speak to an officer. After visiting with the officer and telling him what happened he stopped me. He then began to tell me he had to read me my rights for I was guilty of the crime too because I knew of the crime before and after. Which then made me an accessory before and after. I did receive five years parole for this conviction. It was completed and restitution was paid in full. I never went to prison. I was released from the county jail and served both my probation and parole at the same time.
As of (age 25)1995 I had paid all outstanding court cost, supervision fees, fines, and restitution ordered in all my criminal cases in which I was convicted of. For the last seventeen years, I have remained in good conduct.. As an individual person I am not going to revert back or steal from anyone or engage in any further criminal activity which I was previously involved in. I have tried to maintain a record of steady employment, but do to the felony on my record; it is hard to maintain a job. I have had many doors and opportunities close because of having a felony on my criminal background. Since then I have supported my spouse and have obtained my GED and have received an
Activity Director certificate.
In closing I feel this is evidence of my rehabilitation and my rehabilitative efforts during and after my full release. Is there any way I can get these Expunged / Sealed and or Pardoned or all?
Thank you for your attention to my request and please advise me of my options in this matter.
Sincerely,
E.F.L.
