I got into some trouble while back and on court for a class b misdeamnor theft and my lawyer is getting me into the pre trial diversion program... im wondering if I complete the program could I still pursue the career I want as a Texas state trooper... and this was my first offense ever... I never got in trouble ever until this mistake... my lawyer said thi program would clear my conviction and clear my arrest record... he said like nothing ever happened... I asked my lawyer this question and he said if I complete the program I should still beable to still pursue the state trooper job... Im just want to know...

Your Attorney knows the situation far better than anyone here, just reading through this post. In NY you cannot become a State Trooper with an arrest on your record and the Police can see what has been sealed.

In Texas - I don't know. Your Attorney does. If not, he/she should be able to find out.
