I want to make prints of my photos with the date it was taken. I use a photosmart 320
I have taken many photos using an hp photosmart 320 camera. When I view the digital photos on the camera, I can see the date onwhich I took the pictures. When I tranfer the pictures to the hard drive on my computer, the date does not appear. Can you please help?

The camera just puts the date on the screen so you can see it.
How are you transferring the pics? I know with my cannon it automatically creates folders for each date and puts the pics in that folder.

But, the data is still embedded in the image. In most cases, you can right click filename in your PC and pick properties... in there it shows you the date taken.

In Vista, you can right click the headers in the folder and choose the Date Taken column.. then you can see at a glance.

Another option... Download and install IRFANVIEW (IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide) its free and its really good.
Open the image and click the image information button. Should show the file date in there...

Try to look for an application that will overprint EXIF data that's saved with the camera image. There is lots of info there. Irfanvew will let you see the EXIF data. You may need a plug-in.

Camera's that superimpose the date automatically are rare. These are useful for ocumentation purposes.
