Why do you need to? You are 15. Think about friends, school, sports and be "friends" with girls.
Now answering your question. It is a state of mind. They may think they are now and then next month they are not. This is common in teens. Her actions will tell you.

Of course girls show guys that they like them in many different ways. It depends on the girls. If they are more of the outgoing type, they will kind of play around with you and laugh at your jokes, diss you in a playful way, etc. but if they're shy, you might just catch her looking at you a LOT and when you look back at her, she looks away and you can see her blushing. This is almost a sure sign that she likes you.

If a girl like's you, you should be able to tell. She will pay more attention to you than the other guys, or try to catch you eye etc.
Even if you don't know for sure ask her out, you can only get an honest answer right?
If all goes well after a couple of dates/weeks then you can bring out the L word.
Just come straight out and ask her, she will respect you for your honesty =]
