My question is regarding very high water pressure with my residential well. My well is 600feet deep and I get superior water flow from all 4 outdoor faucets at same time & indoor at same time nonstop for 3 hours. One scenario is not being able to regulate my warm water in the washer. It is either really hot or high-high pressure cold. I have to adjust the cold water very low to get warm in washer and then before the rinse starts, go turn up cold water so it will come out. I have not had luck with a couple well guys I have tried calling in this small area as they won't call back. Do I need a plumber and what could be wrong? If you are a women in this area of the South, they really seen to enjoy taking advantage of any lack of knowledge you have. I did read in one place on-line very high water pressure can ruin your water heater and other appliances. You could have a seeper well. That's a well that gets low and needs time to recover. Do you have a submersible pump or a pump sitting in the basemsnt or outside in the ground and the pump is visiable. You can out a pressure Regulator in the main feed line that supplies the whole house. To high pressure can pop a supply line to the sinks. There is also a mixing valve that used for wahers but you need even hot and cold pressure for that to work properly. Are your hot lines 3/8 and the cold 1/2 ? And are trhe pipes copper or black iron or Galvanized Iron. In the old days they used 3/8 lines for the hot. One because it was easy to not mix them up. Two because hot was not used like cold. The water pruessure changes when the well pump kicks on and now the cold water is a bigger line and the hot is a smaller line. Also the hot is a bit restricted because generally it has to go through a longer distance and more pipe a little less pressure. I need to know pipe sizes? And well pump location.
