    Femara and infertility
    I am beginning my first round of femara for infertility, I was wondering if any of you have herd of this and how effective is it, it is a little scary starting the a new med, I have just researched it and herd a lot of good stuff and not very much bad if ANYONE has any input please respond

    Don't have a great deal of experience with it but I do know it is considered an off label med, meaning it's use with infertility came about by chance; by what was seen when it was used for its original intention. Similar to the drug Cytotec for labor inductions... it was not intended for this purpose, but is often used for it now. Some physicians and patients are OK with that, some are not.

    Two main points to remember with Femara, as with its more popular counterpart Clomid, both should not be used once a pregnancy takes place and your doctor should be monitoring you closely with its use.
