I have a chevy cobalt 2006 and the key keeps getting stuck in the ignition,I think the problem is the gear shift pin. My question is it covered under warranty? The three year warranty runs out in February next year and it has done 80k kms.

The base warranty is 3years/36,000 miles. 80k kilometers translates to about 58,000 miles. Unless you opted for an extended warranty when the original coverage was still valid, you are out of warranty.Quote:

If it is not working properly by pushing that up your ignition will turn the rest of the way off so you can remove your key. If that is the issue, a new ignition switch is in order.
