    Water Surges
Our water bill tripled and the county says it is not their problem since their was no change in the meter after an hour of no water usage. Everything seems to be working properly, however, we do hear a surging sound every few minutes or so. What do you think we need to do?

Start by doing a leak test at all your toilets.

Here, take some food coloring and drop say 6-8 drops of dark color dye into each toilet TANK. Let each toilet sit for an hour or two and then see if the color has shown up in the toilet BOWL. If color shows in the bowl then the flapper needs to be replaced at the toilet or toilets... :)

A surging water sound every few minutes or si is the toilet leaking by... although this should have shown up at the meter when the meter was tested for leaks.

Try the test and let me know what you find here OK? Something's not right??
