I have a 4 year old female daschund that I rescued from a shelter about a year ago. She is pretty well house and cage trained but will urinate when she gets nervous. I read the article that mentions that it may be submissive urination and it makes sense. My only problem is with how to stop it. FYI, she is very stuborn and does not like play with toys.

Is she house trained otherwise? First off, don't touch her when she's nervous... that's instant-pee for her personality.

That's the same problem I had with my female daschund, she is 3 years old, when your dog is nervous before she peas give her a treat to show that you won't harm her. But the thing is what does she get nervius from?
