    Collection Notice-Medical Office
I live in Georgia, I received 2 statements from a doctors office over the weekend. No one in our family has been to this office in last year, so I called and ask what it was from. I was told that they got a new computer system, and they merged with the old computers that were not previously working. One of the bills was from 1991 and the other was from 1995. I have never received a statement on this, I have no idea if I owe it or not, but, my question is, after all these year, can they legally bill me for this?

    Hello joe:

As long as you owe the debt, you owe it forever. The only thing they CAN'T do, is sue you for the money. But, they can sure try to get their money any other way.

If this is YOUR doctor, I wouldn't want to stiff him. Cause you want him to be on YOUR side should you or your family gets sick.
