Foster Child and Grandparents right to visit
I am the relative placement for my great niece. I just went to court last week with my newphew and the judge order that I can't let my brother (my great neice's grandfather) see her unless a court appointed supervisor is there. My brother has not done anything wrong and we don't even know why his name was mention in court last week. When I first got custody of my niece the state told me to treat her just like one of my children. Now they are saying that I can't do this or can't do that with her. I would just like to know 1) if my brother has any rights to see his grandchild and 2) if any other relative placement has to have babysitters approved before they can leave the child with them. Christmas is coming up and we are a very close family - I definitely do not want to celebrate the holiday's without being able to spend time with my family. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
