    Fasting
Is fasting an important part of healthy living. Reports are showing that tests on animals where there food intake, calories cut in half. A Sparce diet Actually gave more energy, more health then somebody with full diet intake. What is your take on this?

Well, caloric intake is very important. Fasting once in a while may be good. But as far as diet and nutrition goes, eating in moderation and avoiding foods such as margarine for example will keep you healthy.

One of the best pieces of advice I learned in my nutrition class was to eat small amounts continuously during the day. Never let yourself get starving hungry. It is good to eat 5 or 6 small healthy meals per day.

I only go on a fast when it is medically necessary due to tests and whatnot. That is usually once a year.

I NEVER fast without a doctor recommendation.
