    Hello

    I was paid for a job... the client was happy with the price from the start and work was carried out when I finished she paid me with a cheque and then cancelled it.. what do I do?

    File suit against her. You might even try prosecuting her for passing bad paper.

    The client was saying the job was not worth the money we agreed, after she gave me my cheque!. was a pain throughout and would not let me get on with the job.. :confused:

    The fact that she tendered a check belies her disapproval with the job. Cancelling the check may be considered fraud.

    Yes, you can turn it over to the DA for criminal act, and/or sue in civil court for damages.
