    Just For Men Hair Coloring
I've never been vain about the amount of grey I have, but now, having to go back into the job market, I feel I need to be proactive about my appearance.

So I got Just For Men for my hair and beard. I thought maybe I should ask for any tips and tricks about using it. I plan on doing it for the first time tonight.

Scott, you're perfect just the way you are - :) - but if you insist my only advice is to pick the color carefully and run the test patch first.

The person I partner with dyed his hair and beard last Spring. The color came out sort of a brassy blonde red (instead of light brown) and he had a severe skin reaction, literally tiny blisters. He looked like he had been scalded. He didn't do the test to see if he had any allergies and he also didn't pay close attention to the timer and left it on too long.

    - not that I have any personal knowledge about hair dye or vanity. Not that there's anything wrong with that - :D

I did the test on Wednesday and so far not the slightest reaction. My natural color is a dark brown, so I think I will be OK there.

I've kind of like my salt and pepper look, but the job market the way it is... You need every edge you can get.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The only drawback with doing this Scott, is that you'll have to keep it up with the beard or the roots will start to grow out quicker than you'd like. I worked around a man who would "do" his beard but not often enough and he looked downright silly on the days he didn't do his touch ups on the beard. Once you start this with a beard it's going to be rough to keep the old roots tamed.

I'm all for looking your best as the job market is rough and any edge you can get may be well worth it. Go for it.

    Good luck!!

Well its done, and the hair looks great. I need more practice with the beard though, cause there is still some grey, but its not bad at all.

A touch of grey is actually sexy versus having it all one color.
