    Bleeding after intercourse
Hi, I'm 18 years old and yesterday I had intercourse for the first time... once I got up to go shower, I noticed that I was bleeding. Today, I am still bleeding and the bleeding is like I'm on my cycle but I'm not. Is this normal?

Go to planned parenthood. They can examine you without your parents knowing. And since you have a problem discussing sex with your parents perhaps it is better for you to wait until you are old enough to handle all of your medical needs on your own.

I don't think that shrveport has one of those... and it's not that I have a problem talking to them about it... it's just the fact that they judge me an dmy siblings too much

I don't mean to sound dumb, but what about where all girls bleed after there first time. Called "Popping the Cherry" I seem dumb for saying that. Now, I'm not a girl so I don't know how long you bleed for either, so you still might want to get checked out!

I kind of thought about that but I don't know... if it doesn't stop by Monday then I'll go to the doctor

Yea, you should deffinately go if it is still bleeding then. You just might want to wait and see. Maybe if it is still tomorrow!

I wonder if there are clinics open on the weekend?

I believe there are walk-in-clinics open on saturdays. I think maybe until 1 or so. At least around here. They should be able to do everything there.

I hope so... because I know he doesn't have anything because he's in the army and they check for all of that... so maybe it is the "popping the cherry" type thing

More than likely I would say that is what it is. It happens to every girl. I don't think if he had anything it would cause you to bleed.

Now see... why when I talk to females about this type of stuff I get scared to death... but with you I'm now more confident and positive about the situation... thanks

The bleeding is from tearing your hymen. Although you may be bleeding a bit much for that to be so.. maybe it just brought about your period a little early.

Don't be scared. It's most likely normal. Relax and when you have a chance stop in to see a doc. It is not an emergency. You need to relax. It is most likely what adam said.
