Hi, I was trying to factor these three problems, but realized I had no idea what I was doing. Does anyone know how to help?
1.) 8x^6-27y^3
2.) 81-18x^2b+x^4b
3.) p^2n+1+12p^n+1+36p

Hello Skittles. Can you p;lease show us how far you got in trying to factor these, and then we can help you complete them.
By the way, it would help to put parentheses around the terms that areexponents. For example, am I correct that in problem 2 it's really:
81-18x^(2b) + x^(4b)?
And in problem 3:
p^(2n+1) + 12p^(n+1) + 36p?
The first one is the difference of two cubes.
Remember it?
Ok, well, I haven't learned those yet, but the second and third seem to be quadratics... just need to reduce all the powers by the same amout...
Ah.. so you want someone to do your homework for you.. very crafty
Are you talking to me?Quote:

It's OK... I just like learning things on my own... rather than being taught, thought teaching brings helps more. But I seem to remember less when I'm, taught.
