    Bacteria in my water line?
Last Sunday I hooked up my water line to my refrigerator for the water tap and the ice maker. I moved into this house about a year ago and brought this refrigerator with me but I just barley hooked the water line up. I replaced the filter and tied into a existing water line they had plumbed in for the hook up. I filled up about 10 glasses of water and dumped them out, then I drank one, the later two then three. About 6 hours later I was so sick I thought I was going to die. I must say the human body knows how to get something out that isn't suppose to be there. Is there a chance that my refrigerator had bacteria in it that made it through the filter. If so does anyone know how I could flush it out and with what product. Thanks for your help.

Might be able to somehow circulate a bleach mix through the line but I have never heard of this before and would not know how to circulate the mix without a pump and adapters.
