    PVC to cast
I'm remodeling bathroom and in the process I should move the toilet, but the space is tight and being the only full bath in a house w/5 adults, I can't take too much time. I have installed no hubs before, but can this be done where a toilet, sink and tub all flow to the main stack from the same Tee wye? or do I need to lead in the joint?

    Thanks,

    Charlie

    Hey Charlie,

I don't understand the question. Not enough details. You haven't told me what fittings you wish to connect, whether its male to male, female to male or whatever. Please explain in more detail. Thanks, tom

Really just need to know if I can use a nohub connection to main stack to replace cast man off, but I have a 4" stack with a TY coming off to the toilet, and a 2" sink and tub drain all connected together. The toilet is right next to the tub and I want to move it about a foot.

You're making me guess whether it's a male to male connection so you can use a NO-Hub band to connect. What's a "cast man off"? If you have two male ends to connect to then a No-Hub band may be used. If all you have is a female hub coming off the combo in the stack then you'll need to use a Duel-Tite gasket or a lead and oakum joint. Have a great forth. Tom

Sorry , now I know what you mean by male to male, yes that is what I will have if I cut the stack, thanks for your help. A cast iron manoff is a teewye leaded into the main stack... plumbing lingo in New England , I guess... some one I know called it that.

    Thanks again,

    Charlie

Nope It's the same all over Charlie, Your "teewye/ cast iron manoff" is a combination wye and eighth bend commonly called a "combo". Yes you may use a No-Hub band to connect. Regards and have a great Forth. Tom
