Can my federal probation be transferred at trial?
I live in Utah but am flying back to Mississippi to face a charge.
I plan on pleading guilty to the charge in order to get probation rather than face prison.
    My problem is here...
My home, work, and extended family are in Utah.
At the sentencing, can the judge order my probation be served in Utah?
Will a letter from my employer help?
    I don't know what to do!

This should all be part of the plea deal you work out

Is this an uncommon request to ask for at sentencing? I only ask because I see how some people have such a tough time moving their probation.
I am hoping to get it from the start.
