Rewire from 2 phone lines back to one line
Added line 2 for dedicated dial-up line. Now have DSL & don't need both lines.
However, line 2 is wired to room with computer & line 1 has DSL.
Can I go to box outside & rewire line 2 with line 1 & put all jacks in the house
    On line 1?
Hope you understand what I am asking.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Line 2 is wired to room = your telephone? If you want to use line 1 as your dsl and your phone you can do that. You can cancel the 2nd line through your phone service, you don't need to disconnect any wires.

I have canceled line 2 & it is dead. The only live line is line 1 which is the DSL line. The jacks connected to line 2 are in the room with the computer & are dead also. I need to connect all phone jacks to line 1.

Then yes, you can switch wires at the access box.

In my plastic box outside there are only two wires for each line (I had two lines also) so you just switch them. It's not color dependent. Determine which line is dead in your box by disconnecting one wire and see if your phone goes dead. If it does it's your live line coming in and this is where you want to connect the line 2 wire in your house.

To wire a jack as an RJ14 (2 line) instead of RJ11 (1 line) the red & green wires from the line 1 go to the Red and green in the jacks. The red and green from line 2 go to the black & yellow in the jacks. To return the jacks to 1 line run the yellow and black from line 1 into the yellow and black on the jacks.

Or simply disconnect the yellow and black from the junction box. The line really only needs the red and green to work as a phone line.
