I want to be Natural Again!
My natural hair color is considered dark blonde/light brown according to the my stylist I used to go to. I've started three years ago with just highlights when dances and important events came up, but then moved on to coloring everything after money became too scarce to get it professionally done. Sometimes the result is great, and sometimes it's not so great. I've usually fixed it on my own. After being blonde for two out of the three years I've been coloring, I'm in college now and don't have the time to keep messing with it every month, and I'd just like to go all natural again. I've read nearly every post about bleaching and stripping out there, and was just wondering what the method was that's best for your hair? My hair grows very slow, and now that it's finally growing long, I want to treat it right!

I colored my hair dark reddish brown, came to find out, it's way to dark. I want my hair back like it was. A Lot lighter than it is now, what can I do? Can I strip it or what do I need to do so I don't ruin my hair?

The only thing I know about stripping is that it just removes the unnatural color and gets it ready for redying, not necessarily making it lighter because I was going to stip it too. Stripping is good when its and unwanted color like orangy red or ashy green, but that's what I want too is to remove the really dark color and leave my natural. One thing that's really been helping me though is washing it with an anti dandruff shampoo and using hot oil treatments everyday which isn't really bad for your hair at all. The shampoo dries it out, and the oil puts moisture back in all while fading the dark quite a bit. If you were looking for a drastic change, like completely going back to natural I'd just go to a professional. That's probably what I'm going to have to do even though I really don't have th money.
