Well first go into system > device manager and check if your network card is working (it would say enabled or disabled and will sometimes tell you if it has a driver error.

Next are you connecting to the same router as the laptop you are currently using? If so you know the connection is good.

Another thing to try is to make sure your IP is set up properly. Go to start > run (a dos window will open) type ipconfig. See if an IP address is listed... then type ipconfig /release (this deletes your IP) then type ipconfig /renew (this gives you a new IP)

Reboot and try again and post to let us know if it worked.

Hmm, it's system > then the hardware tab > device manager > network adapters

Expand the network adaptors line and it will list one (or maybe more than one) network card. Double click the name of the network card you are using. A small window will open up with details about the network card, it will either say "the device is working properly" or "the device is not working properly" (or something similar)

    Has it EVER worked?
