What is a judgement by a credit card
What does it mean when a credit card company has a judgement against you?

It means they have gone to court and gotten a court order that you in fact owe them X amount of dollars.

With this judgement, they can then use it to garnish your wages, or seize your banks accounts, or whatever, until they collect the amount of the judgement.

Yes, they have went to court and sued you and have won, it stops the statue of limitation. A judgement can be renewed if it starts to run out and not collected yet.

They can go back to court and get a attachment of your bank account, or a garnishment of your pay check.
\\In very simiple terms they are getting ready to make your life turn very bad.

Thank you for your responses. The debts in my husbands name from business credit cards. He wasn't even aware of it until we were at a lawyers office & he put in his SSn & low & behold he tells us there's 1 judgement against him. We have since decided to file a BK (bankruptcy) so that should disappear or at least our lawyer will tell us what to do about it.
    Appreciate the response nonetheless.
