Hi I'm planning on getting a dsl modem connection for my room know how would this thing be set up in my room I already have a phone jack in my room which I don't use atm could I use this or would some guy come in amd make a new one

You can use that phone jack if it is a functioning one. These days most providers send a self-installation kit with detailed instructions. Having said that I have many set up their DSL connections at home because they felt too computer illerate to even attempt it.

Digital Subscriber Line, or DSL, can be used on an existing analog phone line. You may need to plug in a filter to minimize static while talking on the phone.

How can I connect adsl dial-up modem to my router, so that I do not have to do dailing every time I use the net.
