    Roofing shingles
Do you believe the price of asphalt shingles will go down , since oil has dropped so much , and when do you think it will happen?

Well a lot of that question depends on where you live. Shingle prices as well as prices of all other materials tend to fluctuate with what is going on in your immediate area and the country as a whole. i.e. The price of plywood went through the roof after hurricane katrina. I'm from Omaha and when the storms hit this year our shingle prices skyrocketed and have yet to return to normal.

My guess is that with the economy the way it is prices will go down slightly but not too much. Maybe you can get a good deal on shingles beings as it's winter if you live somewhere cold. As long as you have somewhere to store them. Asphalt shingles don't seal well under about 50-60 degrees.

    Hope this helps,

The price of shingles has never gone down, stayed steady, over the last 20 years. We recently paid $5000 to shingle our 2 bedroom bungalow in Ontario.
