Re-selling antiques/flea market finds. Getting in with the thrift stores.
I'm trying to start a business where I re-sell things I find at flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores and estate sales. I normally go on craigslist or check out the local swap meet.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to hear about local community garage sales besides the pennysaver and driving around?

Also, thrift stores are so picked over... soneone told me that most of the good stuff is picked out between the truck drivers, sorting warehouse, etc by the time something gets to the store it's usually not worth much.

So does anyone know how to get in with the donations centers? Do they offer programs where people can come in and see the merchandise BEFORE it goes to the stores?

    Thank you!

    Hi, uvware!

What specific types of things is it that you're looking for? For what I know how to do, my thing would be to look on craigslist for furniture that is being offered for a very low price that I could then redo in a number of ways to sell in order to make a profit.

    Thanks!
