    Father wants to force adoption
The possible father of my soon-to-be born child has threatened to take action to have this child taken from me if I don't give it up for adoption. He stated that he will support me to the end if I give it up for adoption, but if I choose to keep it, he will do everything in his power to make sure I'm not allowed to raise it. I have other children and their father has no big issues with how I raise them. What action can I take to ensure that this doesn't happen? And when I reiterate my intentions of raising this child on my own, how do I ensure that I am not threatened and harassed further, especially when the child is born? I just want a peaceful time (as peaceful as allowed) at home with my newborn.

He can't make you choose adoption.

You can, however, contact a lawyer about his threats to you.

Of COURSE he would be supportive if you choose adoption---he doesn't have to pay child support that way.

Unless he can prove you are a danger to your children, it's very unlikely that he can take your children from you.

I would, however, consult a lawyer, and document EVERY time he makes threats of that sort to you.

Agreed, he won't be able to get sole legal custody of the child unless he can prove you're a pretty bad parent. His threats are hollow and he probably knows it, he doesn't want to pay child support and is trying to scare you into an adoption. I would go see a lawyer before he gets one.
