Puppy coloring for a mixed breed
Is it possible for a white poodle and gray/white schnauzer to have black coated puppies? The owner says ithats what happened. I just want to be sure before bringing the puppy home. I am looking for a dog that would be easy on my allergies. Thanks

I don't know why not - yellow Labs have black puppies. I thought poodles were true to color and schnauzers are only gray and white - ?

When you are crossing breeds there is no guarantee. Excpet they are 1/2 of something.

I researched this for my wife as she has allergies but wanted a puppy.

We got a 1/2 chihuahua and 1/2 dachshund, both hypoallergetic dogs. Turned out to be a real smart dog.

    Here's some others.

Bearded Collie Hair pH same as human hair
    Havanese Doesn't shed
    Maltese Doesn't shed
Schnauzers of all sizes Short hair, sheds less
    Scottish Terrier Doesn't shed
    Silky Terrier Does not shed
    Wheaten Terrier Doesn't shed
    West Highland White Terrier
Yorkshire Terrier - more like human hair
