My daughter in law wants a camcorder for christmas. I have less that 300 dollars to spend and actually would rather spend 250 or less. I have been researching for a month now and am more confused than when I started. MiniDV, hard drive, SD cards, DVD and so forth. Which one?? I am drawn to the Sony handycam HC-52 or the Flip Video MinoHD. Please help me pick a decent cheap camcorder. It will be used to take family videos and does not need to have a lot of fancy controls. Thank you.

I have seen really small ones at Best Buy and Wal Mart for $199.
